No Bad Food

Project Overview:

Tom Zalatnai & Teffer Adjemian’s podcast “Up For Discussion” was going through a change-up in 2022. Originally the discussion-based show began in 2016 and had been about a wide range of topics, but the hosts kept finding themselves returning to one of their favorite topics: Food. They decided after over 6 years of the show that it was time for something fresh, and their rebrand to “No Bad Food" began.

In 2020 the hosts reached out to me for help on a small shift in their show’s look for Up For Discussion, giving their bear mascot a new iteration and their merch a new unified style. So in 2022 when it was time for a complete rebrand of the show they asked for my help again. They wanted to keep their bear mascot, originally portrayed as a podcast host, but center them more around the topic of food. While reshaping the mascot to be more of a podcasting chef I also chose to give the full image more of a hand-drawn framing to lean into the aesthetic of a chalkboard restaurant menu.
